Social entrepreneurship is the process of implementing and developing innovative ideas that effectively respond to important and neglected problems in society.Social innovation occurs when the social entrepreneurship process is sustainable and scalable, creating value for all parties involved. That is, when there is a response to a social problem capable of generating social transformation.
The social entrepreneur's mission is to solve neglected social problems, creating social innovation through new approaches and tools, with impact, transforming mindsets and processes, involving and empowering the parties involved, with scalable and sustainable solutions.
Include social innovation in the national political agenda, gaining relevance among stakeholders with finantial capacity.
Promote the exchange of knowledge and cooperation between the various actors of Portuguese social innovation sector.
Provide visibility to Portuguese social innovation and reinforce the international presence of Portuguese organisations.
